Rules for interpreting labels in <source-key>!gloss companion notes. A label is a retrieval hint unless its evidence status and source passage support using it as a fact.

Dates, places, people, tools, operating systems, statuses, occasions and completion claims require direct source support. A semantic match alone is insufficient. Preserve negation and polarity from the source; a label must not turn “avoid X” into “X”.
The source-aware reranker searches the top 50 cached cosine candidates, gives a small bonus to text-supported labels and penalties to related or unsupported labels, then keeps two. This reduces unsupported factor labels in the current corpus from 88 to 1, but the rule and thresholds remain draft until the evaluation set is expanded.
