- [ ] Replace the hello tool with a version tool. John, 2026-10-08: "remove hello from misc and add version."
hello only returns a greeting and is no longer useful as a smoke test. The new version tool should report what is actually running, so that a stale client-side tool schema can be told apart from stale server code. Likely contents: git commit/describe of misc_mcp_server.py, process start time, and the tool list and parameters the server is advertising. Carry over the pointer to the misc-server overview note that hello's description currently holds. Follow Adding New Tools: curt description, a notes key for full docs, an entry in misc-server/tools, then restart misc-mcp-server. - [ ] webdav: compact, filterable listing. Found in the 2026-10-12 live test: a Depth 1 PROPFIND on /SS/ returned about 273,000 characters and the connector truncated it at about 100,000, so a name-based request could not be completed reliably. Add a list mode, or post-process PROPFIND, returning name, type, size, mtime and ETag as compact JSON, with a name filter (glob or regex), limit/offset, and an option to hide AppleDouble ._* files. Details: misc-server/webdav.
- [ ] webdav: finish live testing. Only PROPFIND, HEAD and DELETE (with If-Match) have been exercised live. Still to test: GET (including Range and base64), PUT with If-None-Match, MKCOL, COPY, MOVE, LOCK/UNLOCK and PROPPATCH. Use a disposable path such as /tmp/ or /writeback/ and clean up afterwards.
- [ ] webdav: decide on guarding destructive calls. Proposal for John to decide: DELETE has no trash and no confirmation, and collection deletes remove everything beneath. Options are documenting the HEAD-then-If-Match pattern in the tool docs, a dry-run or count for collection deletes, or a MOVE-to-trash convention.
- [ ] Check the other misc-server notes for stale status. misc-server/webdav had "not committed or deployed" and 1.27.3 wording, now corrected. Other sub-notes, such as misc-server/tools and misc-server/email-tools, may carry the same wording; not yet checked.

- [x] Deploy and verify the corrected pg_query schema. Done 2026-10-12: Misc 2.0.0 deployed on gravlax (origin/m c0b4fec), service restarted, live MCP initialisation advertises 2.0.0, login schema and ro/rw/adm permissions verified, external Outlook plugins preserved. Client-side pg_query schema confirmed showing the login parameter (Claude, 2026-10-12). Mismatch cause for gravlax's earlier SELECT-only source remains unverified. Record: 2026-10-12 reconciliation.
- [x] Review and commit the local SQL/IMAP/WebDAV/monitoring merge, confirm runtime dependencies and preserve external Outlook/other plugins before deployment. Done 2026-10-12 (commits 9732bc7, e1fca6e, c0b4fec); kelp, gravlax and pomelo checkouts synchronised. Pomelo code is synchronised but its service was not necessarily restarted.
