TODO — Master Index

A single view of outstanding work across the notes system. Todos are scattered across many project notes; this note links each one so nothing is lost. It is an INDEX, not the source of truth — the linked notes hold the actual, current items. When you create a new todo note, add a line here (per README/orphaning).

• kelp/pomelo SOCKS5 BIND tunnel — 2026-09-25 outage traced to unmanaged/orphan processes and fixed. Remaining open item: give socat-ssh-relay.service a crash-loop guard rail so a repeat fails loudly. See the note's "Known limitations" section.

• authorized_keys hygiene remediation — cross-host SSH key cleanup for ~john on pomelo, kelp, gravlax, radagast (raised 2026-10-21). root@winky already removed from pomelo; the rest is pending. Full audit detail is in the PRIVATE notes store (host-access topology).

Project todo lists

• ansible/todo — provisioning playbooks: WebDAV netrc, remove unattended-upgrades, deploy John's SSH key, optional CertHub/stunnel role, and the pending browser-host branch decisions.

• envoy/todo — Envoy email-agent outstanding work.

• gdata-server — CHECK: investigate why Private Notes exposes newer/different MCP capabilities than ordinary Notes, notably reorder and table_op deduplicate; verify whether the two APIs should be brought back into sync.

• popit3/todo — email-processing pipeline outstanding work. Sub-pages: instagram-ja-route.

Notes corpus maintenance

• There is a private TODO. Check the private TODO index.

Specific jobs arising from the 2026-10 maintenance review. Procedures and working order in MAINT; per-note progress tracked in notes-review.

• DONE 2026-10-06 — Full-corpus scan of 1,486 keys found no bare array blocks. Continue checking opportunistically because legacy non-canonical document shapes remain.
• DONE 2026-10-06 — Created the radagast hub and linked hosts/radagast, hosts/radagast/source-upgrade, uucp/radagast, radagast/ml-ports-build, radagast/lessons-makeinfo-2026-09, radagast/todo-next-session, and freebsd-ports-lessons/symlink-rm-incident. CONTENTS now points to the hub.
• IN PROGRESS — CONTENTS audit started: current hrefs resolve and the Radagast entry was promoted to the new hub. A broader editorial coverage pass remains; do not add every top-level scratch, test, or historical key mechanically.
• DONE 2026-10-06 — TRIGGERS now covers Radagast/FreeBSD builds, UUCP, delayrepay, hibernate-on-approach, and popit3 operations.
• IN PROGRESS — Added 84 unambiguous parent links in the first systematic pass (parent-missing count fell from 464 to 380). Remaining cases include absent namespace parents, historical/test records, and malformed legacy records requiring individual judgement.
• SCANNED 2026-10-06 — Link audit across the full corpus found 22 unresolved hrefs. None are in CONTENTS or TRIGGERS. Several are deliberate private-store, test-fixture, or external pseudo-key references; classify the remainder individually before editing.
• IN PROGRESS — Reviewed MEMORY/claude and memory/envoy/*. Confirmed stale statements including the old warning that MCP put double-encodes documents, Envoy IMAP host 'imap' (live code uses mail.critchley.biz), old model tiers, and pre-deployment Dovecot status. Content correction remains.
• IN PROGRESS — notes-review pass started. Canonicalised the two legacy Radagast records and added parent links across active clusters. Full per-note content/staleness review remains.

Cross-cutting / personal

• john/actions — pending items to raise with John; read at session start (see TRIGGERS).

• todo/buy-gym-sandals — personal reminder.

Roadmap (intentions, not committed todos)

• Future — planned developments for the notes system (linter, normaliser, search/discovery, runnable documents).

Notes on scope

Not indexed here: _todo is a one-off Envoy mail-server audit (not a running list); gdata-server/todo-backup-2026-07-27 and popit3/todo-session-2026-06-21 are historical snapshots superseded by their live todo notes.

Many project notes also carry inline [ ] checkbox items not in a dedicated todo note. Stretch goal: a tool that scans every note for [ ] markers and regenerates this index automatically so it cannot drift.
